Harp lessons

Child taking harp lessons

Sally gives harp lessons to children and adults of all abilities and is also the harp professor at Eton College, Windsor. Students learn on either Sally's full size pedal harp (older children and adults) or on a small 'Clarsach' lever harp, suitable for anyone from about age 6 onwards.

Recently she has been asked to share her expertise in masterclasses and adjudicate classes at music festivals.

For a number of years Sally was a member of the highly regarded 'Live Music Now!' Scheme which provided young musicians the opportunity and support to perform and give workshops in venues such as special need schools and adult learning centres. This experience has helped Sally be flexible in her teaching methods and enables her to tailor lessons to individual pupils. They regularly receive good results in ABRSM exams and are encouraged to perform in public or work towards agreed goals.

Please Contact Sally if you would like to arrange a consultation harp lesson or have any questions regarding how to go about learning the harp. Harp lessons can be held privately at her home in Reading or private harp lessons can be arranged at Eton.

For beginners, it is recommended that a harp is hired at first. There are some specialist harp firms that offer a hire service and friendly advice.
